Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. With an estimated 90.3 million inhabitants as of 2012, it is the world's 13th-most-populous country, and the eighth-most-populous Asian country. The name Vietnam translates as "South Viet", and was officially adopted in 1945. The country is bordered by China to the north, Laos to the northwest, Cambodia to the southwest, and the South China Sea to the east.

Did you know that:

Most Vietnamese cuts a nap after lunch. Therefore, at noon in the cities is quiet and peaceful, no traffic jams.
2. There
is plenty of motors, every family has at least two.
3. At the
first meetings with strangers standard questions are about age, nationality and civil status.
4. Nguyen
is both - the first name and the last name - which has almost 70% of the Vietnamese.
5. When they drink tea or water, they always leave a little on the bottom.
6. In
most restaurants we can get iced tea for free.
7. Vietnam is famous for its magnificent temples and palaces.
