Ukraine is a country in
Eastern Europe. Ukraine borders Russia to the east and northeast, Belarus to
the northwest, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the west, Romania and Moldova to
the southwest, and the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to the south and southeast,
respectively.

1. The world's worst nuclear power plant accident, the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear
Power Plant disaster, took place in the now abandoned Ukrainian town of
Pripyat.
2. Ukrainian brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko have both held world
heavyweight boxing titles.
3. World’s deepest metro station is situated in Ukraine. It is Arsenalna
station in central Kyiv.
